Imporatance of the first 10 days of the sacred Jilhajj month

Importance of First Ten Days of the Sacred Jilhajj Month:

The first ten days of Zulhijjah are among the most magnificent days in Islamic calendar. Noor-e-Mujassam, Habeebullah, Huzur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam Dictated, “One fast during these days is equal to the fasting of one complete year, and the ibadah (worship) of one night during this period is equal to the Ibadah in the “Lailatul-Qadr”. Sub’haanAllah!

Al-Bukhari Rwadiallahu Ta’ala Anhu narrated from Ibn Abbas Rwadiallahu ta’ala Anhu, that Noor-e-Mujassam, Habeebullah, Huzur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam Dictated, “There are not any days in which righteous deeds done in them are more beloved to Allah than these days, i.e. the ten days (of Jilhajj).

Imam Ahmad Rwadiallahu Ta’ala Anhu narrated from Ibn Umar Rwadiallahu Ta’la anhu, from Noor-e-Mujassam, Habeebullah, Huzur Pak Swallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam, that He dictate: “There aren’t any days greater, nor any days in which deeds done in them are more beloved to the Great Allah Most High, than these ten days (of Jilhajj). So, increase in them the saying of Tahleel (Laa-ilaaha-ill-Allah), and Takbeer (Allahu-Akbar) and Tahmeed (al-hamdu-lillaah).”

Every Muslim should avail of this wonderful opportunity by performing during this sacred period as much Ibadah to Allah as he or she can.

Takbir-ut-tashriq

Beginning from the Fajr of the 9th Jilhajj up to the ‘Asr prayer of the 13th, it is obligatory on each Muslim to recite the Takbir of Tashriq after every fard prayer in the following words:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,

La Ilaha Illallahu, Wallahu Akbar,

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahilhamd.

(Translation: There is no god but the Great Allah and the Great Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest and to Allah belongs all praise.)

According to authentic Islamic sources, it is obligatory on each Muslim, to recite this Takbir after every fard salah.
