Allah Pak Declares, “You shall never earn virtue or satisfaction (of Allah Pak) until you donate your most favourite stuff and Allah Pak is completely Aware of whatever you give out”. Zakat is a Far’d practice and one of a pillars of Islam. Donating low quality cheap items in the name of Zakat is harwaam and kufri for donating such mean items amount to cheating Allah Pak and undermining or mocking the very purpose of Zakat; that’s certainly a kufri. So, Zakat shall never be accepted if poor and sub-standard items are donated; rather sins of kufri would be there. Therefore, shops displaying signboards, reading ‘Zakat items sold here’ should be stopped forthwith because this is a non-Muslim conspiracy of ruining the Zakat, Muslims’ Far’d practice.
Focal Wali-Allah of this age, Imam and Mujtahid of the century, Imaamul Aimmah, Qutwubul A’alam, Awladur Rwasool, Habeebullah, Mamduh, Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam of Rajarbagh Shareef, Dhaka Says, “Donating Zakat for a person holding ‘Nesab’ is Far’d but taking Zakat for the receiver is not. He may or may not wish to receive it. Therefore, one who accepts Zakat is rather doing favour to the donor because in that case, he is helping the donor to perform Zakat, one of his Far’d practices.
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “By donating Zakat, a donor is abiding by the orders of Allah Pak. That means his submissions are laid at the disposal of Allah Pak. But Allah Pak is ever Sacred for Allah Pak would see the intention or the desires of the people. For example, Allah Pak Declares regarding Qurbani, “None of the flesh or blood of your sacrificial animals reach Allah Pak but it is your genuine aspiration that does”.”
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “If someone intends to put poor quality and less costly items for Zakat, his poor intents would only be considered at the Disposal of Allah Pak; his Zakat shall not be recognized.”
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “Donations, Sadaqa, Zakat and Fitrwa all are to be done solely for the contentment of Allah Pak. Nothing for the worldly purposes may be accomplished. Gestures like people would call ‘a donating hand’, ‘a great donor’, or they would know the donor and his name and fame would be spread out, circulations and promotions of his profile would take place, people would recognize him, reputations and eminence may be earned, the donor may become a big shot or a leader in the society or hold posts of secretary or president of a Masjid committee, or may become a Member or Chairman of the (administrative) area, even MPs or Ministers are all show-off worldly acts and should never be practiced in the course of donating Zakat.”
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “Having Ghairullah (worldly gains) in mind, it has been mostly experienced that, to cover more number of people, cheap and poor quality ‘lungi’ or ‘saree’ (local men and women’s wear) of ‘khaddar’ fabrics are distributed among people which are not suitable to be worn normally. Donors of those stuff themselves would never appreciate or agree wearing them. If that is the case that the donors (male and female) themselves do not agree to accept, how then Allah Pak would accept them? In fact, those endowments would not be accepted by Allah Pak at all. Allah Pak clearly Informed in the Kalamullah Shareef (Qur’an Shareef) that, Allah Pak Declares, “You shall never earn virtue or satisfaction (of Allah Pak) until you donate your most favourite stuff and Allah Pak is completely Aware of whatever you give out”. (Sura Ale-Imrwan, Ayat Shareef 92)
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “Allah Pak further Declares, “O believers! Donate the best stuff from your own incomes and from those that I Have Generated from the lands for you and do not intend to provide poor quality items because you wouldn’t accept them yourselves but reluctantly. Verily, Allah Pak is Ghani (Rich) and The Most Commended”. (Sura Baqara, Ayat Shareef 267). In this regard, for example, it has been narrated that, Allah Pak decreed the two sons of Ha’drwat A’dam ‘Alaihis Salaam to do Qurbani (sacrifice). One of them, Ha’drwat Habeel ‘Alaihis Salaam used to shepherd ‘Dumba’ (popular four-footed desert animal). He chose the best animal out of His lot and produced it for sacrificing. The other son kabil did farming. He picked up some poor quality crops from his harvest and gave it for the service of Allah Pak. And then it was seen that a lump of fire appeared and burnt away the Dumba of Ha’drwat Habeel ‘Alaihis Salaam. That means, for sparing a fresh and a finest animal for sacrifice, Qurbani of Ha’drwat Habeel ‘Alaihis Salaam was accepted and He was chosen as an exclusive subject of Allah Pak. SubhanAllah! On the other hand, the Qurbani of Kabil was not accepted for producing low quality stuff and as a consequence, he turned out to be the first murderer on earth and became a hell-dweller”. Na’oozubillah!
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “The discussion here is about all kinds Far’d, Wajib and Nawfl donations and Sadaqa like the Zakat on assets, Fitrwa and Ushar on harvests etc. The very best and the costly one must be donated. Not even imagining of donating poor, cheap and low quality stuff to be done let alone giving. If something that the donor himself or someone else wouldn’t accept, how could it be accepted by Allah Pak?”
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “The jews and christians always scheme how to tip off the Muslims from their good practices. Producing cheap wears for Zakat is the outcome of one of those conspiracies. Many shops these days display a banner, reading, ‘Zakat fabrics are sold here’. This in fact undermines the Far’d and great act of Zakat itself. Na’oozubillah! This projects that Zakat is an issue of cheap and sub-standard aspects. But Zakat is nothing else other than adherence to the instructions of Allah Pak. That says, retaining, using or consuming Zakat items is harwaam for the donor though but is Halal for its receivers. If a Zakat-user donates something from the (Zakat) stuff he received to someone who is not eligible for Zakat, yet that becomes permissible for him to receive or consume. Therefore, Zakat, Fitrwa, Sadaqa, Kaffara etc. are not matters of silly issues.”
Mujaddidu A’azwam Ha’drwat Murshid Qibla ‘Alaihis Salaam Says, “The gist is: it would rather be kufri if cheap and poor quality items are donated as Zakat let alone being accepted. Out of the many designs of foiling the good practices of the Muslims, the trends of donating poor and cheap stuff for Zakat is another shrewd manoeuvre of the jews, christians and mushriks. Refraining from such ill-practices is Far’d for every Muslim. Therefore, shops displaying signboards reading ‘Zakat Items Sold’ should immediately stop it.”
